Some architectural designs stand the test of time and become iconic. They are the buildings that attest to the good taste and rare aesthetic of the architect, designer, builder and, ultimately, the person who chooses to inhabit them. Such will be the legacy of 277 Davenport.
Integral to 277 Davenport’s architectural “experience” is the dialogue between the positive and negative space of the building’s exterior façade on Davenport Road.
Strong horizontal planes are punctuated by large balcony spaces with floor-to-ceiling glass, giving the overall impression of a monochromatic painting by Mondrian.
This is street art at its most refined, a contemporary expression of residential architecture that makes a bold statement of place in one of the city’s most vibrant and livable neighbourhoods. Is this the shape of things to come? We think so.
The interiors at 277 Davenport can be summed up with just one word, “sublime.” The juxtaposition of indoor and outdoor spaces, exquisite features and finishes, light, light and more light. Each space is superstylish without being overly minimalistic. Each nuance of materiality is an expression of contemporary elegance.
